Fire Chief Franz

Chief Franz joined the department in 2019. He retired from the Round Rock Fire Department, after 24 years of service, 12 of which were in the position of Battalion Chief. He was a member of the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years, serving as Assistant Chief, before moving to Salado in 2007. He was an Adjunct Instructor (Fire and Emergency Services) at TEEX. He was appointed as the first paid Fire Chief in January 2022.

Assistant Fire Chief Berrier

Chief Berrier joined the department in 1998 and obtained his EMS Certification in 2006. He was appointed as the Volunteer Fire Chief in 2013. In January of 2022 he stepped down as the Fire Chief and accepted the position of Assistant Fire Chief.
